About the event

Alongside LGBT Bedfordshire, Flitwick and Ampthill Town Councils are working towards strengthening communities that truly embrace LGBTQ+ people.

Come along to our LGBTQ+ History Month reception to find out about the ways in which we are planning to support the community, what you can expect to see from our Pride AF initiatives and how this will culminate in an exciting celebration in June (Pride Month). There will be an opportunity to look back at the colourful history of LGBTQ+ people and to think about how you can get involved in all of the exciting work that is taking place.

This reception will guest speakers, and a chance to meet members of the community. We are offering the opportunity to sign up to some forthcoming LGBTQ+ activities in the run up to Pride Month. These revolve around wellbeing, skills and social activities. We will also be giving local businesses the opportunity to register for our free LGBTQ+ Awareness training session.

There will be complementary welcome drinks and refreshments.
