About

Here at LGBT Bedfordshire, we are driven by a single goal; to advance the development of our community, ensuring everyone can achieve whatever they want regardless of their differences. We will work to raise awareness of the issues affecting the LGBT+ community and seek to educate the wider community to enhance cohesion.

What We Do

Making A Difference

We aim to be a safe space and directory for LGBT+ people and their families. Our three areas of work are supporting those people who need help, connecting people with each other through activities that suit them and educating the community through skills courses and training programmes.

Advocacy and Support

Here for you

We can support you to be heard. Many LGBT+ people do not know where to turn to when they are facing difficulties, discrimination or injustice. We can help you stand up for your rights, listen to you and provide information.

Connect

Serving Happiness

At LGBT Bedfordshire,  we recognise the importance of connecting with each other. There is a programme of activities where you can find something that suits how you want to participate, even if it's simply having a cup of coffee and a chat. We are dedicated to providing services that deviate from the traditional 'gay scene' activities. Let us know if you have any ideas.

Education

Helping The Community

Our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential through our skills courses. Alongside this we offer LGBT+ based training packages for employers, educators and faith organisations
